Checking in...

Okay, so I haven't been great about posting on any kind of regular basis...but to my defense life has been hectic.
I've completed my canning for the year which consisted of applesauce and tomatoes.  A few months ago, my mom and I made strawberry jam and strawberry rhubarb jam.  All were successful.  I think I have finally gotten my canning routine mastered because each year I have made new notes to myself to help me be more efficient the next year.
Next week Steven & I embark on our journey West.  We are heading to Wyoming to visit the "Western Bowe's"...also known as my brother and his beautiful family.  I am looking forward to being there for my brothers birthday celebration and to see my nieces trick or treating.
In other news, Thunder underwent some minor surgery today to have a growth removed from his eyelid.  This growth has been removed once before and it is benign...just persistent.  I am sure tonight will be full of cuddling for him.

Day Two

So, last night I had a dream.  Don't judge me.
In this dream my grandma gave a gift to my brother and me.  It included sea turtle decoys and they were robotic.  In order to play the game, one player would "boot up" all of the decoys and send them all running in different directions.  Then each player would race to tackle these decoys before they blew up.
I really don't know how my subconscious comes up with these things.  At least it wasn't a particularly scary dream as I have had more than enough of lately.

Trying something new...

Okay...I have been considering for some time beginning a blog.  I don't know if I have the writing chops, or interesting anecdotes to share; however, I am in a transitional phase of my life and have decided I need to find a positive outlet for which to share things I find interesting, funny, confusing, etc.
So...without further adue, here is my attempt.
Those of you who know me already may find the name of my blog to be...well, interesting.  I have not gained a reputation for being the most lucky individual.  The primary reason for this is due to my uncanny ability to injure myself, or finding myself in situations that most would believe to be impossible.  I do however find myself to be a very lucky person.  I have great friends and family, and although I have had some strange experiences, I have never been so seriously injured that I have not been able to completely heal...therefore I find that overall, we have success.
So, welcome to my blog.  Stay tuned.
